Alaçatı Guide

Stone lanes, wind and vineyards — Alaçatı. Places to explore during your stay, plus practical tips.

Windmills and Stone Lanes

Alaçatı's landmark windmills and cobbled streets are best explored on foot. The historic bazaar's stone houses, boutiques and cafes are a short distance from the hotel.

Beaches

Ilıca's shallow, clear coves are ideal for families; Delikli Koy and Alaçatı Beach are favourites for sunset. Most beaches are a 10-15 minute drive from the hotel.

Vineyards and Wine

The Urla-Alaçatı wine route is a rising regional draw with boutique wineries and tastings. Spring and autumn are ideal for vineyard trips.

Windsurfing

Alaçatı is one of the world's top windsurfing spots. From May to October, when the steady wind blows, there are schools and rentals for every level.

Gastronomy

Aegean herbs, fresh seafood and a generous breakfast define the region. In the bazaar, try kumru, herb mezes and olive-oil dishes.

Getting Here and the Herb Festival

İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport is about 85 km (1-1.5 hours). Private transfer, car rental or the Havaş shuttle are options. The Alaçatı Herb Festival each spring is a busy period; we recommend booking early.
